The shortage of housing and assistance that meet the diverse needs and incomes of community residents has ripple effects throughout our communities and economy. Adequate and attainable housing are critical to community and economic stability, and reduce demand for social welfare programs. We need to build effective relationships and dialogue with policy makers to understand community housing needs, the benefits of a diverse housing market, and local solutions.
