Homeless Resource Pocket Guides Available in Boise

BOISE, Idaho - Today at the Cathedral of the Rockies in Boise, the Boise/Ada County Homeless Coalition released their first draft of “homeless resource pocket guides”.  The guides include a map and contact information of places homeless men and women can visit to find shelter, meals, health services, and general resources. Prior to the pocket maps, Boise previously provided a 30-page manual for homeless people to use.

Carrying a 30-page manual isn’t realistic and the homeless coalition knew that. Together the organization has spent approximately six months hoping to improve life for those on the streets. While the pocket guide is useful, it’s not perfect, "we did the best that we could and we've been working on it really hard but we know this isn't the final product, it's a product that will continue to grow” says, President of the Boise/ Ada County Homeless Coalition, Peg Richards.

A copy of pocket guides can be picked up today, November 14th at the Cathedral of the Rockies. For more information, you can click here.
